Our research focuses on constraining the fundamental properties of the solid Earth, with a particular focus on subduction zones. To develop a holistic understanding of plate boundaries and the convecting mantle, we integrate a range of geodynamic modeling approaches with geological observables. Our modeling approaches range from simple analytical models to massive numerical calculations, and we leverage observations stretching from individual subducting slab shapes to global plate configurations.
