The CSL – Center for Carbonate Research conducts integrated research in sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy, geochemistry, and geophysics in modern and ancient carbonates to advance knowledge in a variety of emerging topics in carbonates.
The research projects combine observational, laboratory, and theoretical approaches in four themes:
• Carbonate Systems and Reservoir Characterization
• Petrophysics and Near-Surface Geophysics
• Unconventional Reservoirs
• Geochemistry and Geobiology of Carbonates
The CSL transfers the research results to industry partners through an annual meeting, webinars and publications and our website www.cslmiami.info . It offers continuing education seminars and short courses for professional geoscientists.
A Certificate Program in “Applied Carbonate Geology” offers geoscientists the opportunity to become experts in carbonates.
